Journalling
When I was a little girl Every little girl's desire was to have diary. Some way to record your most secret hopes and dreams. The crush on the boy at school, how much you hated your life, thoughts about your Big Brother who was a pain in the neck. Ideally the special diary came with his own lock and key to be kept safe from prying eyes.
Fast Forward 50 years and the new word is Is journalling. This is the practice of regularly writing down your thoughts feelings experiences and reflections. It can be done in a physical notebook, digitally or through structured prompts. Having a 1 to 1 coaching or supervision session can be a bit like this where we work together to help you to explore your thoughts and experiences and I use prompts or ask questions to guide you through that process.
Journalling regularly can offer a range of benefits including:
1 Helping you clarify your thoughts and feelings.
2. Providing a healthy outlet for releasing tension and worries.
3 Enhancing self-awareness. Helping you understand patterns of behavior and thinking.
4 Supporting goal seating -helping you stay on track and focused on your professional and personal aspirations.
Why not take 5 minutes a day to make journalling a regular practice in your life?
Here's few prompts to get you started.........
How am I feeling right now?
What happened yesterday that I want to remember?
Wat amI grateful for today?
Wht did I earn about myself and others?
Wht do I need to let go?
Wht is 1 smallstep I will take for my well-being or towards achieving my goals?
